KD Lekir and KD Mahawangsa's destinations after visiting Hong Kong are Incheon and Seoul in South Korea. Both ships are moored at the South Korean Naval Base in Incheon.

INCHEON, SOUTH KOREA
Incheon is a metropolitan city and the main port of South Korea, located 28 km from Seoul. Inhabited by nearly 2.5 million people, Incheon is the third largest metropolis in South Korea.

REMEMBERING THE BATTLE OF INCHEON
Incheon is where The Battle of Incheon (Korean War) took place in 15 September 1950. General Douglas McArthur, supreme Commander of the United Nation Forces led more than 75,000 U.S. troops with 261 Navy Ships in the surprise amphibious landing also known as Operation Chromite. The battle that resulted in a decisive and strategic victory of the United Nation Command led by General Douglas McArthur over the North Korean People's Army (NKPA) in September 1950.

The Beach of Pohang is where the UN Forces landed unopposed in 1950.

Incheon to Seoul is 26.87 km

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA
Seoul is the capital and largest city in South Korea and is also one of the largest cities in the world, with a population of over 20 million people. In this area of the National Capital of Seoul, there are also four UNESCO World Heritage Sites, namely Changdeokgung, Hwaseong Fortress, Jongmyo Temple, and the Royal Tombs of the Joseon Dynasty. Seoul also hosted the 1988 Summer Olympics.

SEOUL TOWER
Seoul Tower also known as Namsan Tower is a communication and observation tower located on Namsan Mountain in Downtown Seoul, South Korea.
Built in 1969, this tower became a landmark of the city of Seoul with a height of 479.7 m above sea level. The tower offers panoramic views of the entire city and beyond. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking vistas from the observation deck, which makes it a popular spot for both locals and tourists wanting to see the city from above.

At the base of the tower, thousands of couples have fixed their "love locks" to various railings around the viewing platform and have thrown away the key in hopes that their love will be an everlasting, unbreakable love. As a Muslim, I believe more in destiny and divine provision.

GYEONGBOKGUNG PALACE
There are four old palaces of the Choson Dynasty (1392-1910) in the city of Seoul. We only had time to visit one of the four palaces, namely Gyeongbokgung Palace.
Built in 1394, the 3rd year of the Joseon Dynasty, this 40-acre palace is a symbol of the Dynasty's majesty. Originally, there were 200 buildings in this palace, but they were destroyed during the Japanese invasion in the late 16th century. Now, there are only 10 buildings in this complex.
The People's Traditional Museum, which opened in 1975, is located within the grounds of this palace.

I enjoyed my time in Incheon and Seoul, it is definitely worth a visit. The people, the history and the culture are all nice to experience.

Hong Kong is one of the major tourist destinations in the world because of its gastronomic affair, vibrant nightlife, beautiful temples and self binding natural beauty. Also, Hong Kong is known for being a paradise for shopaholics.
