SELANGOR: KEBUN MIMPI @ GITA BAYU, SERI KEMBANGAN

On 15 May 2022, my wife and I attended the Hari Raya Invitation and Reunion of ex-High School, Setapak which was held at Kebun Mimpi @ Gita Bayu in Seri Kembangan Selangor.

The travel distance from our house in Lembah Keramat to Gita Bayu is 28.5 km and takes 29 minutes.

Kebun Mimpi @ Gita Bayu is a clubhouse with a steeply pitched roof typical of traditional Southeast Asian architecture. Built next to a man-made lake and garden, it is perfect for nature lovers.

Seri Kembangan was previously known as Kampung Baru Serdang in 1952, a Chinese village that was evacuated by the British during the Malayan Emergency (1948-1960) due to frequent communist harassment.

Mrs. Tan Aik Mong, the teacher who taught me during my school days, is still healthy.

On the left is my former classmate Fadil Buyong, younger brother of Dato' Khaidir Buyong, former Selangor football player and coach.

"Kambing Golek" (roast lamb) and "Kambing Bakar" (grilled lamb) are fast becoming a favourtie of ceremonies and events in Malaysia now. Marinated whole lamb with special herb served with black pepper sauce and coleslaw. 

This meeting is in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri and also the Reunion of former students of Setapak High School (1974-1978). How fun it is to be able to meet up with school friends again and even more fun to meet up with former teachers who are still healthy and who used to teach us.

SELANGOR: GM KLANG

On 17 August 2018, the Malaysian Heart Foundation Awareness Team departed for GM Klang located at Jalan Kasuarina 1, Bandar Botanaic Capital, Klang for the Heart Health program which will take place from 17 - 19 August 2018.

The journey from our Office at Jalan Semarak to GM Klang is 48 km and takes only 46 minutes.

Throughout the program, we were also assisted by nurses from the Bandar Botanic Health Clinic, Klang.

SELANGOR : SPORT ARENA COMPLEX, BUKIT SERDANG

Sport Arena Complex Bukit Serdang located at Seri Kembangan, Selangor, the largest multi-level and multi-function sports complex in Malaysia with a unique blend of iconic architecture and sports facilities. 

The Heart Foundation of Malaysia organised the Health Screening Program at this Complex on 4 February 2018. 

Bukit Serdang is a less popular hiking trail even for the residents nearby. Many people staying in Serdang do not actually know that there is a hiking spot in their area. Search Google Map for Bukit Serdang Trailhead and follow its direction.
