PROGRAM COORDINATION MEETING
AEON SERI MANJUNG
BANDAR SERI MANJUNG, PERAK
11 AUGUST 2015
On 11 August 2015 Mr. Sallehudin and I, attended a program coordination meeting at AEON Seri Manjung with the AEON management.
The purpose of the meeting is to coordinate the health screening program and determine the date of the program to be carried out.

Once again we stayed at Galaxy Inn located in Jalan Sultan Idris Shah, Lumut, Perak.
This hotel is always our choice to stay here every time we come to Lumut, Perak because of its convenient location and nearby to various amenities such as restaurants, banks and so on.
I have written about Lumut town in my last blog about Lumut, Perak.

The meeting with an old friend who used to work together on the ship and the Navy base in the 80s has made me very happy.
Mr. Savirimuthu, an old friend of mine who was with me at KD Raja Jarom, Woodlands, Singapore in 1981/82 and then at KD Sri Rejang, Sibu, Sarawak in 1983/84. Thank God he is still healthy and now manages a grocery store in Sitiawan.

FAMILY VACATION
LUMUT, PERAK
5 SEPTEMBER 2015
Memories of a family vacation in Lumut, Perak on September 5, 2015. My sister's family and I left Bandar Tasik Puteri, Rawang, Selangor on the morning of September 5, 2015 for Lumut, Perak.
Travel distance from Bandar Tasik Puteri, Rawang to Lumut is 188 km and it takes 2 hours 31 minutes drive.

We stopped for breakfast in Sekinchan, a small town located in the state of Selangor. It is about 102 km north of Kuala Lumpur.

From Sekinchan we continued our journey and stopped at Batu 8, Lekir, Perak for the Zohor prayer. Lekir is a town in Manjung District of Perak about 39.9 km from Lumut, Perak.

From Lekir, after praying, we left for Taman Samudera in Bandar Seri Manjung to attend the wedding ceremony of my brother-in-law's niece.

Before heading to our resort at Marina Cove, Teluk Batik, we first stopped at Teluk Muroh. Teluk Muroh is a main route to Teluk Batik.

MARINA COVE RESORT
TELUK BATIK, LUMUT, PERAK
5.9.2015
Overlooking Marina Island Pangkor, this modern, seafront resort is about 8 km from Lumut Waterfront. Situated right beside the sea and hills, perfect for a getaway especially working adults that needs a break to enjoy mother nature.

Teluk Batik is a beautiful beach with public bathtoom, toilet facilities and a food stall. An attractive landscape environment with a unique Malay concept. The sand remain as one of the whitest sand available in beches along the west coast of peninsular Malaysia.

Sitiawan a town in Manjung district of Perak about 11 km from Lumut. Among the attractions in Sitiawan are 3D Art Galleries, Lumut Waterfront, Mr. Honey Bees Farm, etc.

Lumut, home of the Navy has many popular attractions including City Mangrove Park, Pantai Teluk Batik, Lumut Waterfront Esplanade Wing, main gateway to Pulau Pangkor and many other. Perfect for a trip...

LUMUT, PERAK
20 SEPTEMBER 2013
On 20 September 2013, The Awareness Team Program Manager, Mr. Sallehudin Abdul Malik and I had attended the Program Coordination Meeting at AEON Seri Manjung, Bandar Seri Manjung, Perak.
The travel distance from Kuala Lumpur to Lumut is 214 km and the travel time is 2 hours 56 minutes.

We stayed at the Galaxy Inn, Jalan Sultan Idris, Lumut, Perak. A budget hotel that provides a clean and comfortable to travelers, either on business or on vacation in the vicinity of Lumut, Sitiawan and Manjung District.
Located in the main street of Lumut town, a gateway to Pulau Pangkor and within easy walking distance to amenities like Lumut Jetty Terminal, taxi stand, banks, laundry, restaurants, convenient shops, clinics, bus station etc.

LUMUT, PERAK
Lumut is a town that is familiar to me because I used to serve with the Royal Malaysian Navy based in Lumut in the 80s and 90s.
Lumut is a coastal town and a mukim of Manjung District, located 84 km from Ipoh and 12 km from Sitiawan. Lumut is a gateway to Pulau Pangkor before establihsed Marina Island Pangkor as second gateway.
The once little-known small fishing village, Lumut is now the home base for the Royal Malaysian Navy.

The abandoned Lumut Police Station

SITIAWAN, PERAK
19.9.2013
Sitiawan a mukim and town in Manjung District, Perak. The residents of Sitiawan are mostly Fuzhounese, a Chinese dialect group.
Sitiawan is famous for being the home of the late Chin Peng (Ong Boon Hua), the head of the notorious Communist Party in Malaysia.
Sitiawan is located just 11.9 km from the town of Lumut. We stopped for lunch at Sitiawan.

Wisma Ganda left a lot of memories for me because this is where I used to hang out with my friends while serving in the Navy in the 80's and 90's.
Wisma Ganda is now becoming quieter since the establishment of Bandar Seri Manjung. After lunch, I take the opportunity to spend a few minutes at Wisma Ganda, and it saddens me to see that only a few shops are still in operation.

That is part of my record of events and memories in Lumut and Sitiawan in 2013. Lumut has many popular attractions including City Mangrove Park, Pantai Teluk Batik, Teluk Muroh, Lumut waterfront etc.
Sitiawa too has many popular attractions such as Tua Pek Kong temple, LFS Sitiawan, Sitiawan Settlement Museum etc.

Please visit Lumut and Sitiawan for you family vacation...
