Batu Buruk Beach is one of the most popular beach in Terengganu. Contraty to its Malay name which literally means "Beach of the Ugly Stone", a beautiful beach located just 1 km from Kuala Terengganu city centre, 450 km from Kuala Lumpur.
A popular venue for kite flying and picnics, the beach is always a hive of activity, Cultural performances as well as demonstrations of traditional pastimes and games are often staged here on weekends.

He was the first Malaysian Athlete to win 5 consecutive SEAP Games (now SEA Games) Gold medals and 2 triple jump Gold medals starting 1959.

Try Kambing Bakar Guangzhou (Guangzhou Grilled Lamb), recommended dish. For fans of grilled lamb, don't miss the opportunity to enjoy the grilled lamb here.

The Mayang Palace Food Court operated for 24 hours and located in a strategic location of Jalan Pantai Batu Buruk. It serves as a great stopover for traveller and local because of its amenities such as toilet and surau.

My colleagues and I from Yayasan Jantung Malaysia have been to Batu Buruk Beach several times from 2015 to 2018. We have been involved in the Health Screening program in Kuala Terengganu and its surrounding areas. During our visits, we usually stay at resorts in Pantai Batu Buruk, such as Batu Buruk Beach Resort and Intan Beach Resort.
