HAJJ JOURNEY 2017 - AL ANWAR MADINAH MOVENPICK HOTEL

Upon arrival in Madinah, we were taken to our accommodation at Al Anwar Madinah Movenpick Hotel, which is located just 50 meters from the Nabawi Mosque. Luckily for us, because in Mecca we had to walk 700 meters to reach Masjidilharam, but in Madinah, the Prophet's Mosque is only on the left side of the hotel.

The Anwar al Madinah Movenpick Hotel is Madinah's largest hotel, a 5-star hotel that offers facilities for families, individual travellers and leisure groups. Being the nearest hotel to the Prophet's Mosque (Masjid Nabawi), it is also close to all attractions of Madinah. 

I was placed in room 11082 on the 11th floor with 3 others. If in Mecca there are 6 people in one room, here there are only 4 people, so this makes us feel a little more comfortable.

My wife was placed in room number 09001 on the 9th floor, also a room for 4 people. My wife stayed with those who shared the room with her when in Mecca, only 2 people were transferred to another room.

If in Mecca, the pilgrims are placed in a Maktab, but in Medina, it is called a zone. I and the pilgrims from Maktab 87 in Makkah were placed in Zone 2 in Madinah.

At the Al Anwar Madinah Movenpick Hotel, there are also facilities like those in Mecca, namely the financial counter, service center, treatment room, post office here under Sky Net and TM Net.

Zone 2 Service Center Manager Abdul Rahman Yusof said that the facilities provided in Zone 2 include a financial counter for withdrawing money, a treatment clinic, a counter for posting goods sent to the homeland, and an i-Talk telecommunications service counter managed by Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM).

In addition, he said, TH also provides Hajj guidance services conducted by two religious teachers, one for male pilgrims and one for female pilgrims.

Those in the picture above were my roommates while in Mecca. In Medina, we are no longer in the same room together. Two are ex-military officers, and one is still in service.

Memories with Tuan Haji Azman Karim (Ex ATCK Officer) and his wife. In Madinah, we just found out that Tuan Haji Azman Karim is from the same village as my wife, which is Kg. Semin, Lubok Cina, N. Sembilan, and even has a relation on my wife's mother's side.

In this hotel, there are also several restaurants that provide Arabic, Pakistani, and Western food. Among our favorites are Al Mudeef Restaurant located on the Ground Floor and Coffee Break located on the 1st Floor.

These are some of the memories we can share while staying at Al Anwar Madinah Movenpick Hotel. The most beautiful memories with fellow pilgrims in Mecca and Medina.
