2015: GEORGE TOWN & BAYAN LEPAS, PULAU PINANG

 GEORGE TOWN, PULAU PINANG

George Town is the capital of the Malaysian State of Penang. Malaysia's second largest metropolitan area, the city established as an entrepot by Captain Francis Light in 1786. George Town serves as a commercial centre for the northern Malaysia. Once an important Straits of Malacca trading hub, the city is known for its British colonial building, chinese shophouses and mosques.

My memory in George Town is from 2015 when my colleagues and I conducted a health screening program at Kolej PTPL at Jalan Burma, Geoge Town and attending meeting at National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia at Jalan Bawasah, George Town, Pulau Pinang.

The original Chowrasta Market was built in 1890 within the settlement area of South Indian Immigrants. In Urdu, the market's name is translated into "four cross road".
Chowrasta Market sees a lively gathering of locals doing their daily purchasing of fresh product plus cheap and cheerful household items and clothing. It's a perfect place for visitors to get local souvenirs and preserved nutmegs for a considerably lower price than other tourist spots.

Penang Times Square, a freehold multiple development project within Penang Times Square in George Town. The developer The Central @ Penang Times Square is Ivory Properties Group Sdn Bhd.

There are several districts in Penang that I have been to, but only passing by or stopping by where I had time to take memorable photos.
