Cyberjaya was developed from a 2,890-hectare oil palm plantation located in the Sepang district, Selangor. Cyberjaya is located about 50 km south of Kuala Lumpur, next to Putrajaya. It was founded as a smart city based on the Silicon Valley concept in the United States.
The city was officially opened in May 1997 by the then Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad.

The Health Screening Program at the Malaysian Qualifications Academy (MQA) this time is being conducted at their new office at Jalan Teknokrat 7, Cyber 5, Cyberjaya. Previously, the program at MQA was conducted at Jalan Yong Shook Lin, Petaling Jaya.
The journey from the Malaysian Heart Foundation office at Jalan Semarak to Cyberjaya is 36 km and takes approximately 36 minutes.
The Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) was previously known as the National Accreditation Board (LAN), which was changed to its current name after the Government decided to merge LAN with the Quality Assurance Division, Ministry of Higher Education (BJK, KPT) on 21 December 2005. It became a new entity responsible for quality assurance of higher education for the public and private sectors.
MQA is responsible for implementing the Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF) in ensuring the quality of higher education in this country.
