LUBOK CHINA
Lubok China is a small town in Alor Gajah District of Melaka, situated near the border of Negeri Sembilan.
Lubok Cina is also the hometown of my late mother and also my late father. My late mother's hometown is located in Kg Sungai Siput Lubok Cina Melaka while my late father's hometown is in Kg Nerambai, Lubok Cina Negeri Sembilan. This means that Lubok Cina is a district within 2 states.
Kampung Nerambai is located in the Lubok Cina district. N. Sembilan is the hometown of my late father, Maamor bin Sudin. We stopped by Kampung Nerambai because my son wanted to see the Heritage Cannon left by our ancestors, which is located next to the site of my grandfather's former house. I don't know much about the history of this cannon. Only according to my brother, our ancestors were once influential people in this area, but unfortunately, there are no historical records about it. All that remains are only memories.

Vintage Rubber roller machine |
This rubber machine replica brings back memories from the 70s when I returned to my hometown. I remember my late grandfather in the evenings starting to machine the rubber that had been tapped at dawn.... those were the days...
