Rembau is a town in Negeri Sembilan, situated about 25 km from the state capital Seremban. The district borders Seremban to the north, Port Dickson to the west, Tampin to the east, Kuala Pilah to the northeast and Alor Gajaha in Melaka to the southwest.
REMBAU IN 2014
I don't have many memories of Rembau in 2014, there are only a few photos that I have included here.
Chengkau is a mukim in Rembau District, Negeri Sembilan. In the early years, Chengkau town was built near the old railway station but later was moved near the access road (the Seremban to Tampin Road).
In 1980, half of the town was burned down, and this was later rebuilt with more modern structures.

17 OCTOBER 2015
On 17 October 2015, the Awareness team from the Malaysian Heart Foundation and nurses from SALAM Senawang Specialist Hospital collaborated to make the Our Forest Our Treasures program a success, organised by the Rembau District Youth Council.
The journey from our office in Kuala Lumpur to Rembau is 93 km and takes 1 hour 19 minutes.
Historically, the Rembau district was the initial settlement of the Minangkabau people from Sumatra. They established a village here and intermarried with the natives of the district. During the heyday of the Malay kingdom of Melaka, the Rembau district is believed to have been under the control of the Melaka Empire. The first Yang Di Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Raja Melawar, is said to have been installed in Rembau, namely in Kampung Penajis. After his death, he was buried in Kampung Astana Raja in the Rembau district.
HOMESTAY HAJI ABDUL HAMID
During the program, we stayed at the Haji Abdul Hamid Homestay, which is located in Sungai Layang in the Rembau District. It is about 10 km to Gunung Datuk. For those who want to have a vacation and recreation in Gunung Datuk, you can stay at this homestay because the price is reasonable and very comfortable, with lots of bathrooms and toilets.

GUNUNG DATUK, REMBAU, NEGERI SEMBILAN.
Gunung Datuk also known as Gunung Beradat is located in Kampung Batang Nyamor, 21 km from Rembau town and 15 km from Tampin town.
Gunung Datuk is the highest peak in the Rembau district with an altitude of over 1,900 feet. This mountain is also the original site of the Merbau tree from which the district gets its name.
This mountain is rich in legends, among which the footprints on its peak are said to be the footprints of Hang Tuah. Hang Tuah is said to have stopped for a moment to rest on his way to Tanjung Tuan. According to sources obtained, there are only 2 places where Hang Tuah's footprints exist, namely in Tanjung Tuan Port Dickson and Gunung Datuk, Rembau.
The program ended at 2 pm. Before leaving for Kuala Lumpur, we were treated to lunch by the Rembau District Youth Council Committee.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the Rembau District Youth Council for providing us with such good service throughout this program. We would also like to thank SALAM Senawang Specialist Hospital, especially Puan Azwa Aziz, who has provided much assistance to Setaf YJM throughout the program. We hope to see you again in future programs.... God willing...
